You Have a home gym, So what else do you need?

Before becoming an affiliate microgym your business needs to be legally formed and ready to go. The following are the three minimum criteria for affiliating your microgym.

Form your business

This is what sets you apart from other home gym owners and allows you to take advantage of all the tax deductions and liability protections afforded to business owners.

Prepare your gym

A little spring cleaning will go a long way for your peace of mind and to making your clients experience enjoyable.

frequently asked questions

Is GORX Fitness a franchising organization?
Nope.  All affiliates are independent business owners.  Affiliates are granted license to use the GORX Fitness trademarks, which is awarded at sign up.
Does my business need to be formed before affiliating?
Yes. We require your business to be formed before affiliating, but we don't stipulate which business structure you choose to form your business under.  For advice regarding which one is right for you please seek professional counsel.  If you'd like to read more about which structure may be right for you, check out our blog post on the subject here.
Do you set affiliate pricing?
No.  Each affiliate sets their own pricing based on their unique situations.
Do I have to host someones workout?
No. There's no obligation to allow drop-ins to your microgym. Whether you choose to offer classes, personal training, other appointments, or walk-ins is entirely up to you.
Do I have to hold a fitness certification to affiliate?
No, but we require at least one accredited fitness certification for any affiliated microgym that elects to offer personal training and/or small group fitness classes. There are many reasons to be a certified trainer when opening your microgym, and ACE, NASM, ISSA, AFAA all offer certifications in group fitness, personal trainer, and more.  Of course, there are many other organizations to choose from.
How much do you charge to use the app?
We don't charge subscription fees. Instead, the app takes a 10% commission on sales made through the app. So, we only make money when the gym is making money.
Can I affiliate my microgym and not use the app?
No. While we may reconsider this in the future, our current model necessitates affiliates to use our microgym management app.

Are you prescribing a style of fitness?
No.  We don't presume to know what is right for everyone.  Whereas Cross Training might be right for some, Yoga might be better for others.  We require our affiliates who train to hold certifications through accredited organizations, and WHAT they choose to hold that certification in is up to them.

Yes.  We've built a platform to support fitness enthusiasts worldwide.
How do I create an account?

To list your microgym on our app you first need to form your business, and once that's done simply apply through our app. You can do that by tapping the Create button that follows you on each page.
